S=A Ambitransitive Verbs

Ambitransitive verbs can be either transitive or intransitive. With S=A ambitransitive verbs, the subject of the intransitive is still the subject of the transitive. These verbs all end in -ñe. Verbs inflect for tense and evidentiality.

diniñe

to laugh, to laugh at, to mock.

Derivation: derived from the noun dini 'laughter' and the causative -ñe.

jedeñe

to play, to play with.

Derivation: derived from the noun jede 'game' and the causative -ñe.

kebeñe

to do a task, to work. Derived from kebe 'task' and the causative -ñe.

kebeñewe

to not do a task, to not work. Derived from kebeñe 'to work' and the negative -we.

lamañe

to hide, to hide something. Derived from lama 'cover' and the causative -ñe.

luguñe

to help, to assist.

Derivation: derived from the noun lugu 'companion' and the causative -ñe.
