Translation

Coyote saw the children of Cottontail. The children were playing. They pulled out their own eyes, the threw them into the air, and they caught them again with their eye-sockets. Coyote wanted to play. His eyes were dark and shiny. He pulled out his own eyes, and he threw them into the air. They stopped on a senete tree. He hit the tree repeatedly, but he failed to make them fall. Cottontail's children laughed, they laughed at him. Peya's stomach twisted, and so he chased after them. He failed to catch them, so he left. He had to make new eyes out of resin. Since then, Coyote's eyes were resin-like.
